Collectively, Mao & Ying’s partners have over 40 years experience working with clients in various industries and have extensive knowledge of Canadian accounting standards – both personal and corporate – including specialties such as publicly traded companies and matters concerning issues and financial reporting developments.
Mao has been working in public practice since 2003. Prior to founding MAO & YING (formerly SunRonkai) in 2009, he worked in the assurance practice of an internationally recognized accounting firm. Mao works on clients from various industries, and has extensive knowledge of Canadian accounting standards. He has a good understanding of both Canadian personal and corporate taxes.
Mao’s main practice areas include tax planning services for private corporations and their shareholders, assurance and business consulting services.
Mao graduated with a Master’s Degree from Columbia University in New York City in May 2000. He also has a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science from Nanjing University, China. He is fluent in both English and Mandarin.
Mao is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia, and a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation.

Linda has over 20 years of experience in public company assurance and reporting requirements, with proven technical abilities, particularly around matters concerning emerging issues and financial reporting developments in IFRS. Linda is the former assurance partner of Ernst & Young LLP focusing on publicly traded companies.
Linda has extensive experience assisting clients in dealing with the risks and rewards of operating in multiple locations, navigating the regulatory environment, dealing with diverse business practices, coordinating multinational audit engagements, assisting companies in the design and implantation of effective internal controls over financial reporting and business improvement.
Linda has experience in various industries including mining (exploration, development and producing), technology, manufacture, biotech, forestry and agriculture.
Linda is fluent in English and Mandarin.
